General Driving
If you’re learning how to drive, or teaching someone else how to drive, you’ve come to the right place. There are so many resources here, all written by an experienced driving instructor.
One of the first things you need to learn about is how to steer a car. It seems like it should be easy, but it’s not really easy for new drivers. There are different techniques, including a lot of ‘bad’ ones.

I like to think of learning how to drive kind of like building a house. It really helps when you proceed in a logical method.
If someone can’t even drive in a straight line, (no judgement) there’s probably not much point in them trying to turn corners. It just won’t be very pretty.
If someone feels anxious in residential neighborhoods, then there’s probably not much point in driving on busier routes. All it’s gong to do is stress the person out.
We must lay the foundation, and then build the house, and then add the roof, and then do the finishing touches. Then we must water the grass. Only then, can we invite our friends over for a BBQ.
Anyway, learning how to drive is a process. Most people need to drive for about 60 hours before they’re ‘ready’ to drive alone, with confidence. It’s a good idea to keep track of these hours for your own information, even though they’re no longer required by ICBC.
Have fun learning how to drive. After all, driving is supposed to be fun (Deep down, lol)
