Trucks – especially loaded ones – can not and will not stop in the same distance that a car can; even if the driver wants to.
Think about this before you cut off a truck. Trucks must be respected.
Do not lane change in front of a truck and then suddenly stop (i.e. for a red light).
Before lane changing in front of a truck, you should see at least the entire truck in your rear-view mirror (if you can see the entire thing and a bit of pavement as well, that is even better). If you can not see the entire truck, and the front tires touching the pavement, then do not lane change.
