Q: Can I Turn Left Across a Solid Line?

(Last Updated On: May 24, 2013)

In terms of turning across solid lines, the law says that you may turn if it is done carefully and safely and if by doing it you are not impeding traffic (and of course there are no signs prohibiting the turn.)  If, by doing the turn, you would be impeding traffic, then you may not perform the turn.  Find another way. (You may get a ticket for impeding traffic flow.)

She can be found reading the Motor Vehicle Act for fun while receiving strange looks from others. May the quest for great driving continue!
